Life's Lovely Randomness

One of my very favorite projects to work on freelance-wise is humorous personalized greeting cards. When they involve animals - even better. I did this project pro bono since my dog was the client.

This week we dog sat a friend's adorable lab Wrigley. He is so sweet and our lab Marley took to him right away. Edgar on the other hand couldn't stand him. He became jealous and mean, which is so against his nature (alpha dog/pack mentality type of ish was a brewin').

Yesterday when food came into the picture he snapped and bit poor Wrig's ankle. It was so sad to see him swollen, uncomfortable and limping around, so I took him to our vet who got him examined and sent us home with some good doggy meds. He was shook up and confused as to why Edgar would hate him so, but spent one more night resting with us and woke up feeling much better today. He is now enjoying a couple of days at his favorite doggy daycare.

Marley misses her boyfriend, but I think she is relieved she can stop sucking in now.

This is the "I'm sorry/Get Well Soon"folded card that Edgar asked me to make for Wrigs:

Here are a few quick photos I shot of Wrigley Boy during his visit:

And a few more here....

  1. Dear Edgar,

Your card was truly thoughtful and I appreciate you and your family's hospitality during my stay (with the obvious exception of our "incident"). My leg will heal and we can get past this....maybe even become friends some day. You are always welcome at my home with my family; I'd like us to discuss our pet-peeves prior to your visit so we can avoid future trips to the vet, but we are cool for now.

    P.S. Marley, call me (1-800-cubs-win). I was diggin your look. P.S.S.. I'm nudered ;).
