GUEST POST // BEST TOOLS FOR YOUR DIY PROJECTS

I hope everyone's having a great weekend so far! Anyone working on any DIY projects around the house? We're doing some painting and other updates.

Speaking of DIY, today I'm happy to have guest blogger and expert tool reviewer Paul Kearney guest posting.

Below are the tools he recommend for all of the DIYers out there.

------------------------

BRING THE PROPER SET OF TOOLS FOR YOUR HOME MAINTENANCE

It is about time that you wake up in the era of DIY, where you can do a lot of tasks like maintenance of your household and save hundreds of dollars each month.

Although, those who are generous enough to provide employment to others can sit back and watch some movie, but others like fresh college graduates who just got a place of their own, people who are trying hard to save money and some others alike, can spend a little more on some useful power tools that will help them save hundreds of dollars in the long run of over a year and more as time passes.

WOODWORK TOOLS

One of the most needed tools is something that helps you with the immense woodwork needed to maintain almost every corner of your house. Miter Saw, is a power saw that helps you make precision cuts, crosscuts and angle cuts with ease. A sliding Miter Saw comes at a hundred dollars as its starting price and you might also get a good one at not far from this range. Sliding Miter Saw helps cut wood of various widths and increases your cutting capacity. It also sits on a workbench and is always ready to be used, instantly.

>>You must also appreciate a Lithium-Ion driver instead of a Nickel-Cadmium battery because they are light weight, holds charge for up to 18 months when unused and supports faster charging. A screw set of 100 decks along with this driver fits quite well in a small package.

NAIL GUN PROJECTS

When you are done with your woodwork, I bet, you also need to stitch them together. A nail is almost an indispensable tool in itself and has used in many places apart from wooden work.
>>You could do some installation of panels, frames and portraits on your wall in the living room, molding and trimming and occasional furniture repairs. It really cuts a long time that you might have spent on the assembly line while gluing and clamping.

RECIPROCATING SAW & OSCILLATING TOOL

One of the needs in daily maintenance activities is destructing the old work. A DeWalt Reciprocating Saw will chip away through metal, wall, wood, tubing and more with the right set of blades. You must keep special blades depending on your need. It can also help you prune trees and remove grout.

This is possibly the jack-of-all-trades as it has a novel method of very small yet ultra fast vibrating pieces that can be stuck with interchangeable pieces for various tasks.

>>You can do almost anything from cutting, chipping, scraping paint, removing grout, demolishing and breaking through walls, wood and the list goes on.

Overall, there are many other basic set of tools that must constitute your toolkit and along with a few of these above, you can do a lot of jobs that specialized people charge hundreds of dollars. Of course, if you are unaware of something completely, so call them and learn as much as you can.

  2. Some tools that you listed above are really the most essential tools for YOUR HOME MAINTENANCE. I often use wood router and miter saw.

  3. I think you should put the router in the list. It is the best tool I have. But,with an handled router, if you go from up-cutting to climb cutting, the router snap of your hands in a split second. I have done it once with a 1kW router, never again, and I was lucky (no break parts, even on operator).

  4. An honest set of skilled router table plans area unit terribly low value, and you'll be assured it'll be a solid and secure work space for having fun along with your router.
