I shopped my back yard last week, and found lots of sticks, twigs, foliage, leaves, and pinecones, and decided to spray paint and repurpose them into a few different Thanksgiving table decor settings.
Here's what I came up with, and P.S. I'll have more ideas over the next week, so stay tuned if you need more inspiration.
SIMPLY RUSTIC
In this setting I gathered some leaves, foliage, pinecones, a tree slice from Vivi's 1st bday party, some votives, and my two plastic spray painted pumpkins from a couple of years ago.
I spray painted the leaves and foliage, and left the pinecones natural. The tree slice is painted a vibrant hue on one side, and natural on the other side. I opted for the natural side in this setting to keep it simple.
I started with the pumpkins toward the center of the table, and added the rest of the elements from there. Simple and easy.
SIMPLY FRESH
I kept a similar feel here, but I replaced the two large plastic gold pumpkins on the wood slice with a cloche full of six pinecones. I wanted to mix them up, so there are two natural, two metallic gold, and two copper gold spray painted pinecones. I added in a few small white mini pumpkins as well. Still very simple.
SIMPLY ELEGANT
I was very pleasantly surprised with this one! I spray painted a handful of random sized sticks a metallic gold, and laid them out down the center of the table so they all over overlapped. I added five votives evenly down the runner.
I love how unexpected this one is, and it can even be transitioned to the winter holidays by adding a handful of faux shimmery snow like so.
Moving forward I'll always make sure to shop my yard before I hit a craft store for holiday decor. :)
See anything you like? Hopefully some of these ideas inspired you.
Have any ideas to add? I'm all ears.
xoxo
